Maintenance Facilities Lead (Non-Supervisory)

$25.50 - $32.68 / Hour

Full-time · Portland, OR

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Facility Lead to join our team. The primary responsibilities of this role will be to perform preventative maintenance, maintenance repairs, and work with vendors to ensure that our facilities and equipment are functioning at optimal levels. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance, or have passed a maintenance test issued by Tross, and will be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct preventative maintenance on all equipment and systems in the facility, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.

  • Assist with other tasks and projects as needed.

  • Follow all safety procedures and regulations, and ensure that all equipment and systems are in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs, and report any problems or concerns to management.

  • Work with vendors and contractors to schedule repairs and maintenance, and ensure that work is completed according to schedule and within budget.

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with equipment and systems, and make necessary repairs.

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, such as replacing belts, filters, bearings, and motors.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance, or a passing grade on a maintenance test.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Must be able to use a smart phone and email.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with vendors, contractors, and other team members.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and supplies, and to work in confined spaces or at heights.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certifications in maintenance or a related field are a plus.
